Bee-yond The Beat is Bee N Spired’s creative expression workshop built around two focused strands: dance and music with lyric writing.
Young people choose the strand that fits them best. Some express themselves through movement. Others through music, rhythm and words. This workshop respects both and gives each the space it deserves.
It is structured, supportive and rooted in self-expression, confidence and identity.
The two strands
Dance strand
Young people explore movement, rhythm and physical expression. The focus is on confidence, coordination and using the body as a form of communication. No prior dance experience is needed.
Music and lyric writing strand
Young people explore songwriting, lyric writing and music creation. They focus on storytelling, rhythm, meaning and finding their voice through sound and words.
Both strands run side by side, with young people staying in the pathway they choose.
Workshop Details
- 🕒 Duration: 2 hours (can be extended into a half-day or full-day experience)
- 📍 Location: We come to you – suitable for school halls, studios, or community spaces with sound access
- 👥 Group Size: Up to 30 participants per session (larger groups can rotate between creative stations)
- 🎯 Age Range: Ages 11+ (tailored for KS3/KS4, college groups, or enrichment cohorts)
- 📦 What’s Included: All equipment, music software, lyric prompts, beat packs, and speaker system (where needed)
- 🎤 Delivery Style: Lively, youth-led, and choice-based – participants can follow their own creative vibe with support from professionals
