When One Workshop Creates Many Opportunities

Creating Opportunities for Youths

Recently, a workshop delivered with Regent’s University London allowed us to reinvest income straight back into delivery for young people through the Futures Programme.

One of those sessions was Gloss Boss. Which we brought to the students at Chilworth House Upper School in Wheatley.

Gloss Boss is designed to be accessible without being watered down. Young people work through a clear process from start to finish, making decisions, following structure, and seeing a tangible outcome at the end.

Every young person completed the session and left with a finished product they’d made themselves.

What stood out to staff wasn’t just participation, but how the session felt in the room. The pace stayed calm. Instructions were clear. Young people stayed focused, settled and engaged throughout.

One teacher described it as “really interesting, relaxing and very insightful.”

In the days that followed, staff shared that young people were still talking about the session and still using what they’d made. A small but telling sign that the experience had landed.

This is the kind of outcome we aim for.

Not one-off activities, but experiences that:

  • Are accessible to a wide range of needs
  • Allow young people to complete something independently
  • Build confidence through structure and success
  • Leave a lasting, positive impression

“The session was really informative, with a lovely atmosphere and all young people fully engaged. Rees connected with the group instantly, creating a space where they felt safe and relaxed. The young people were still talking about the session days later and continued using the lip gloss they made.”

For the organisations that book us, it means bringing something thoughtful and well-run into their setting.

For Bee N Spired, it means we can continue supporting young people who need extra care, access and intention built into their learning.

That’s the social value loop.

If you’re considering bringing creative, practical experiences to the young people you work with and want to know that your booking also helps widen access for others we’d love to talk.

Because when one workshop creates many opportunities, everyone benefits.
