A Day of Calm, Creativity & Confidence
Results day can be one of the most stressful moments in a young person’s life especially for care-experienced young people who often face that pressure alone.
So Bee N Spired partnered with Lush to create something different:
a day of calm, creativity, connection and fun.
We brought together care-experienced young people from Camden Virtual School, Redbridge Virtual School, and Hammersmith Virtual School for a hands-on session inside a Lush store, where they learned how to make the famous Lush bubble blower from scratch.
What unfolded was confidence-building in real time.
Hands-On Making with the Lush Team
Lush staff welcomed our young people, guiding them through each step of the bubble blower-making process. The store was filled with colour, energy, laughter, and the smell of fresh ingredients a world away from the anxiety many young people feel around results day.
Bee N Spired founder Rees Davis-Campbell and COO Dr Lorna Goodwin were on hand to support, celebrate, and encourage, while the Lush team created a warm and welcoming environment for everyone involved.
A Safe Space to Breathe, Try and Be Themselves
For many of the young people, this wasn’t just a fun activity.
It was a rare moment to simply be young to create something, learn something, and meet new people without judgment.
One of our Bees shared a powerful video testimonial:
“I don’t really meet new people, I’m not really out there. But I put myself out there today and I feel good about myself because people actually like me and think I’m funny. A range of different personalities… I won’t forget the way they made me happy today. Everything I’ve learnt I’ve never done before. I’ve taken part and put myself out into the world. I’ve met new people, I’ve met the workers, and yeah… I had a great time doing it.”
This is exactly why Bee N Spired exists.
Real Opportunities, Real Support
What made the day even more impactful was that Lush were recruiting, and several care leavers took the opportunity to apply.
A simple workshop became a pathway — for meaningful connection, confidence, and potential employment.
After the session, everyone celebrated with Maccies! (McDonald’s) sharing stories, jokes, and that sense of belonging so many care-experienced young people miss.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Lush team for welcoming our young Bees with genuine warmth and giving them a day they’ll remember long after the bubble blowers have fizzled out.
